Meredith Hamons was excited to attend the AMTA Regional Music Therapy Conference right here in Austin, Texas. She was grateful for the opportunity to meet with and to present alongside AMTA national president, Jennifer Geiger.
We are absolutely THRILLED to be promoting the recently released book, PROUD FLESH: The Resurrection of Baby B, by Cynthia Bowen. This TRUE story chronicles a familyís journey through foster care, adoption, and medical miracles. Baby Bís exceptional musical ear and ability was apparent from the beginning, depsite being hidden beneath the challenges of autism. He is a joy to work with and watch as his talents blossom and grow into a blessing for others. We are so very grateful to be apart of his journey.

North Austin Music Therapy student, Briston, recently performed several Christmas Carols as a part of the Fellowship Church in Round Rock's Christmas program!
On November 17th, Meredith was featured as a guest expert on "Mindstorm Mondays," a webinar series hosted by Musictherapyed.com. She was thrilled to be able to connect with listeners from all over the country and even Canada and Australia.

Meredith was excited to travel to Louisville, KY for the National Music Therapy Conference, November 6-9th. While there she was honored to teach a five-hour continuing education class. She also enjoyed networking with and learning from other therapists from around the country.

Texas Parent to Parent is an amazing organization run entirely by parents for parents of children with special needs. Congratulations to Cathy Befi on her engagement to Danny Hensel, her boyfriend of several years! Danny is a fellow musician, a member of the Texas Army National Guard, and is studying to be a graphic designer. He proposed to Cathy on April 8, 2014, and they are planning to marry in the summer of 2015.
Meredith Hamons was honored to be asked to co-teach a five-hour continuing education course at the Southwestern Regional Music Therapy Conference in Dallas, TX on March 29, 2014. Meredith was thrilled to be leading the course alongside Debbie Dacus and Cathy Knoll.

Austin and Briston, two students at North Austin Music Therapy, gave their first public piano performances at the Fellowship Church in Round Rock, Texas. They both performed several Christmas carol solos in front of several hundred people as a part of the Fellowship's "Candy Cane Lane" Christmas musical. They both did a stupendous job and we are all looking forward to future performances!!
